The CAPACITY BUILDING WORKSHOPS SERIES consist of a selection of 15 different workshops, across a broad range of topics and of varying complexity levels ranging from Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. NATIONAL EVALUATION SEMINAR 2018
Capacity in government departments to undertake and manage credible evaluations remains a challenge. As part of addressing this capacity challenge and to build a community of practice across government on evaluatioN, DPME organises an annual evaluation seminar where all national departments are invited, as well as offices of the premier ( and some provincial departments). These seminars have proved successful showcasing work being done on evaluations by departments and provinces. Additionally, they have been intrumental in promoting peer learning and helping to build interest and capacity around evaluations.

6TH Biennial SAMEA Conference
South African Monitoring and Evaluation Association (SAMEA ) will be hosting the 6th Biennial SAMEA Conference to be held at the Hilton Hotel in Sandton, Johannesburg, South Africa from 23-27 October 2017.
This Conference is a key pillar of the SAMEA strategy to broaden the evaluation community and to increase commitment amongst evaluation users and decision-makers to use quality evidence for informed decision making.
The theme for this year’s conference is: ‘Purpose-driven Monitoring and Evaluation’.
