This report focuses on the current state of credit access for SMMEs in South Africa. In particular, it examines barriers to credit access and viable near-term solutions to reduce or eliminate those barriers. Specific attention is paid to information exchanges in the context of commercial credit reporting, as South Africa moves to implement a
National Credit Register of credit obligations.
